The Frisco police department is pressing forward with the investigation but are undecided whether they will indict Pallavi. The Dhawan's passports, fax machine, other items, SUV and it's hard drive* is still in the police department's possession as they are considered evidence.
Prosecutors told Judge Scott Becker the hard drive needs to stay in police custody, saying, "The hard drive has been sent to Secret Service...but they have been unable to read it."

Yesterday during a hearing it was ruled that all the personal items taken during the investigation are to be returned to the family.
